Introducing 176 Denison in Corning, NY

David Riedman states, “The ribbon cutting of the Corning Community College Health Education Center marks the completion of one component in the redevelopment of the former Corning Guthrie hospital. A new building on the property honors the legacy of the Hospital by providing the community with a state of the art Health Education Center. In our plans for new market rate housing on the remainder of the property, we have taken great care to complement the Health Education Center and incorporate architectural design elements from the City of Corning into our design. In doing so, the redevelopment of 176 Dennison will fit seamlessly into the fabric of the community. At the same time, we will deliver a housing preference currently in demand in Corning. Mark Purcell and I would like to extend our sincere congratulations to Corning Community College on this significant milestone and we look forward to our future development work in the City of Corning.”

Upscale Housing Development Moves Forward in the Town of Canandaigua

According to Riedman, The Hammocks clubhouse is scheduled to be completed April 15. The first residential building should be complete shortly after, May 1, he added. Despite the ongoing construction, apartments at The Hammocks are currently for lease.

The first phase of the construction — which is currently underway — includes the construction of four apartment buildings, along with the clubhouse. The additional buildings that make up phase one will be finished throughout the remainder of 2013, Riedman said. The second phase is to build the remaining four apartment buildings. Construction for this next stage will begin in the summer.

Bringing The Hammocks to Canandaigua will be a positive for the town, said councilmember Pam Helming. “…It will be an asset to the town.”
