The two well-known companies have been collaborating for the last 15 years, and look forward to adding the Villas at Canandaigua to the list. While Wegman Companies will continue to handle the sales and marketing portion of the project, Riedman Development will be handing the construction and design for Phase Two of The Villas. Phase Two includes 132 units, with premium lots overlooking water features.

There are several advantages to Riedman Development managing the construction and design at The Villas, among them the economies of scale and consolidated resources offered by Riedman’s @home Builders division. This will enable both companies to manage the project more economically and efficiently.

The Villas at Canandaigua, one-story ranch-style townhomes, feature great rooms with cathedral ceilings, gorgeous eat-in kitchens with wood cabinets, a breakfast bar and pantry, and huge master suites with private bath and walk-in closets.

Bringing the Hammocks to Canandaigua “A segment of Bristol Road to the east of Routes 5 and 20 is a vast area of dirt and construction vehicles. But by year end, it will look much different. By the end of the year, it will be The Hammocks.

What is it? The Hammocks is a housing project that will consist of about 200 apartments in eight four-story buildings, said Tim Jensen, director of development for the town of Canandaigua.

Tim Foster, Vice President of Property Management for Riedman Development – the company working on the project – said the name is representative of how they want others to perceive it.

“It’s somewhat of a brand,” Foster said of the name. “It sort of describes the lifestyle – relaxing.”

The exhibit exists, in part, because of the leadership of our president David Riedman, who is the Zoo’s President of the Board of Trustees and Capital Campaign Chair.

David and the Riedman Foundation have been proud participants in making the exhibit a reality. He has been involved with the Zoo for over 10 years, and has been one of the many who has helped to guide the Zoo through the construction and fundraising efforts of this project. David is especially proud to have helped bring lions back to the Zoo after almost 20 years.
